After such an epic few years, Sam Smith has officially announced he is going to take a break from the music industry to concentrate on being 23 years old and his love life.
After performing at the weekend for the last time in America at the Hollywood Bowl, Smith decided that whilst at the height of his career, he needs to bow out of the spot light to live some of his own life and to concentrate on giving his dating a red hot go.
He told ET Online "I've been playing now for over three years nonstop. And it feels right for me to just go home and live my life - just be a 23 year-old"
Sam's debut album In The Lonely Hour has been a smash hit globally and has been riding the wave since its release. The British singer has decided to take a break, concentrate on love and also take time to work on new material for his sophomore album.
It's a wise move, as over the next year everyone will just be speaking of Adele, so best take a break. We wish you well Sam Smith and hope you find love and inspiration for your follow up album on your break. Check out one of Sam's last US performances below..!
