The electro-pop Swedish singer Vanbot, who stole our hearts back in 2011 with her debut self-titled album and won our OMG What an awesome debut album is back with new single Hold This Moment.
Still serving up her catchy lyrics, electro-pop-dance beats and stomping choruses, the track is darker and brooding sound with lyrics to match, as the singer yearns for love of a boy singing “I just found out I want you so badly.” in this captivating track. The video is equally as dark against a nighttime snow capped forest, mirrored rooms and interpretive dance moves.
Often drawing comparisons to fellow Swedish pop singer Robyn, at SCP HQ we think that Vanbot easily stands outside of the Dancing On My Own singers shadow and a pop star in her own right. We love ya honey and eagerly await your sophomore album..!

It's hard to believe it was over a year a go we were featuring the new single Drive By from Train. That track and their album that followed was a world wide smash and the hits keep coming in their new single Bruises. A real country flavour accompanies their latest single, helped by the featured artist, country star Ashley Monroe. It's been a while since we've heard beautiful harmonies like these (Jason Mraz & Colbie Callait's Lucky immediately springs to mind) and their voices match perfectly. Beautiful lyrics, great vocals from an album that just keeps churning out the hits, check out Bruises here now..!
At the SCP HQ when we listen to new music we like to put it on loud and not know what songs are playing so we can really appreciate the music for what it is. With the new track from Rita Ora - Radioactive, there was some debate on the make shift dancefloor. This track brought us to our feet and we were debating who the track belonged to. It could be Leona Lewis, Ricki-Lee or many other talented musicians and we were pleasantly surprised that it was Rita Ora! Rita has had an amazing year with the smash hit Hot Right Now with DJ Fresh, before finding success in for own right with How We Do (Party), R.I.P, Roc The Life & more. Arguably we think Radioactive is one of her best so far judging by the way it makes us move and the video is green screen sexy too! If you don't already have her album Ora, Radioactive will help you to buy it..!

UK newcomer singer Katy Tiz is a fresh sound for 2013, releasing her debut single Famous. It’s a slice of pop that SCP love, combining witty lyrics, reggae-style verses, a catchy pop chorus, underpinned by a great bass beat and a catchy hook singing "You only want to fuck me cuz I'm a famous".
Speaking about the track the 17-year old says "It's a tongue-in-cheek, ironic song. It's funny because I'm not famous. I take my profession very seriously, but I want to enjoy this experience as much as possible and have fun—whether it lasts two months or 15 years. I'm almost making this song to prove I'm not one of those fake people. I always want to be real. I want to be me. I'll never change. The only thing that changes is my address."
Taken from her forthcoming debut album, the singer is definitely one to watch, serving up a fresh sexy sound, that is bound to get the pop world’s attention. You have our attention Katy Tiz..!
Back with an army of clones, Nicole Scherzinger releases new music video for Boomerang. The dance-pop track see’s the singer in sexy chic outfits, neon lighted scenes, black and white checkered cells, multiple clones of the ex PCD and a few 3D images for good measure..! Taken from her forthcoming sophomore album, it certainly is a catchy track so let’s hope it will gain her the chart success stateside that didn’t come with her previous release..!

Ging, gigiging, ginggingging, gigigiging ging ging ging ging - they were some of the most well known lyrics of the 90's from Scottish DJ Blue Boy's hit track Remember Me. It was pretty much his only hit single and now it's been revived by another UK artist, Daley, with the help of our favorite British songstress, Jessie J. They've brought a fresh new jive to this brilliant track and Jessie J's vocals are flawless as ever. Jessie J also brings a new fresh look to the video with a natural look that really shows how much of a gorgeous creature she really is. This track was actually released a few months ago in the UK but its gaining popularity world-wide now - as it should. Check out Remember Me here now..!

TLC were and will remain one of the greatest pop girl groups ever. Full stop..! So it great to see Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins release uplifting track Champion. The strong empowering track, has the polished production of previous TLC tracks and carries a personal message close to the singers heart about winning battles and being a fighter after being diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia and was told by doctors that she wouldn’t live past 30-years-old.
It's a deep, beat-a-lious and a TLC classic sound. Even with her solo projects T-Boz is planning to release new music with Chilli to celebrate TLC’s 20th anniversary. Woohooo! We miss Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez. This is a beautiful track and a welcome return to T-Boz..!
We featured new pop star Betty Who late last year and she had our attention then! Now the Sydney, Australia-born 21 year old indie pop artist is back with her new single Somebody Loves You with a new track that is just screaming 80’s infused pop, channelling Madonna or even Cyndi Lauper..!
The video follows the 80’s theme too, being inspired by Flashdance, seeing the singer strutting round the dance studio with the girls and then heading out with the girls for a simmering night out. Speaking of the video, the singer said “We had such a riot filming this video and I am so proud and excited about how it turned out. I hope you like it and have as much fun watching it as I did filming it”
Somebody Love You is available on iTunes now and if you love the 80’s throwback pop track, then you’ll love this..!

Instead of the Bat Phone, there needs to be a Beyonce phone for such events and it seems the President of the United States has a direct line, as the Destiny's Child singer performs The Star Spangled Banner at President Obama inauguration ceremony on Monday, to celebrate his second term on the office.
Kelly Clarkson also performed at the event and exchange girl chit chat with friend Beyonce, awww cute..!

A new direction for Ashlee Simpson as she returns with new video for comeback single Bat For A Heart. Taken from her fourth yet untitled studio album, the black-and-white clip, see’s the platinum blonde singer dancing around putting on make-up, get intimate with a sofa and wall (WTF) and dancing around in undies on point, whilst singing “I’m gonna bang, bang, f**k you up, twist you out inside of my head.” Crikey!
With a mild electro beat, the track is not as an impressive comeback single as the singer previous material on Bittersweet World, and doesn’t really cut the mark, but fans of Simpson will no doubt love it, however SCP is not sold yet and will hold out until we hear the new album.
Get you copy of the new single Bat For A Heart on iTunes now..!
After their reunion news and Beyonce returning to the charts shortly, seems its going to be the year for Destiny’s Child members, with Kelly Rowland soon to be releasing her new album. Ms. Kelly follows up her lead single Ice with Lil Wayne, with groovy R&B number Kisses Down Low. The second single from her upcoming album Year Of The Woman due out later this year, the sensual track with a great hook, doesn’t exactly leave much to the imigation with lyrics ‘I like my kisses down low, makes me arch my back, when you give it to me slow, baby just like that’. The singer admits its is her ‘the most vulnerable I’ve been on a record’
Check out the track below and let us know what you think of this saucy track..!

Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh will call is quits as a girl band after their sell out tour. The Sun paper reports the girls want to leave on a high with a source saying, "The girls have known all along that this would be the last time they would all work together,"
"At the press conference to announce the tour, they deliberately dodged questions about future plans because they did not want to spoil the excitement.”
"They all felt it wasn't right for them to be singing songs like 'Love Machine' and performing the same way when they're in their thirties".
"They all want to make this a way to bow out on a high and walk away for the next chapter in their lives without constant questions about when they will be getting back together."
After reforming last year, the band have released a greatest hits album Ten which including two new single Something New and Better Cause You Love Me to celebrate 10 years together, which included the now sold out tour however seems its was always planned as farewell tour rather than a reunion tour.
SCP will be crying for the rest of today after hearing this news..!

Rita Ora continues her unstoppable domination of the UK charts in 2013 after releasing her new single Radioactive taken from her #1 certified platinum debut album in the UK, ORA. 2012 was an amazing year that she was the only artist to have three #1 singles in a row and proved herself as a force to be reckoned with on the stage, after touring with Coldplay and playing every major UK music festival, not to mention an unforgettable performance at Jay-Z’s Made In America Festival..!
From the off, new single Radioactive boasts an instantaneous beat leading to an anthemic chorus and with remixes from Zed Bias, Waze and Odyssey, The Flexican, Baggi Begovic and Lucien Foort, the track will take over dancefloors across the world.

Gone is the sweet bubblegum pop, being replaced bang dirty beats by this club banger track from Alexis Jordan. The Sia penned, Stargate produced track named Acid Rain starts with a dirty beat with vocals from rapper J.Cole and sampling Bingo Players track, Rattle, then bursting into a huge chorus that has just IS a Sia classic. This track is the lead single from the Hush Hush singers forthcoming second album and do doubt gain a lot of attention across the club scene and certainly growing in popularity at SCP HQ. Check it..!
Last featured in Pete’s Picks back in April 2012 Jessica Ashley, the 20 year old singer/songwriter/producer from New York is back releasing her new music video for Neverland, a midtempo R&B track which will feature on her debut EP, Prelude. It’s not magical like Peter Pan’s Neverland, however doesn’t offend, but the video is slightly weird for the song. Let us know you think..!
