New Video Alert - Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball

Well as if she didn’t get enough attention from the recent MTV Video Music Awards, Miley Cyrus is back and bound to cause more controversy as premieres the music video for her new single Wrecking Ball…

Within the first few hours of it hitting YouTube her music video has attracted more than 10 million hits as Miley once again goes for shock tactics to gain attention. Interestingly the video was directed by American fashion, portrait, and documentary photographer Terry Richardson and shot in Los Angeles.

The very ex Disney stars video (we doubt she will be invited back) starts with close-up of Cyrus singing the lyrics  and actually look very pretty. We did wonder if the tear going down her cheek was inspired by Sinead O’Conner’s Nothing Compares To U, however the similarities end there.

We then see Cyrus dressed in white vest, undies and worker boots as she seductively plays with a sledgehammer. Weird yes, it gets weirder…

A “wrecking ball” then blasts through a concrete wall behind her destroying the set, of which she them appears straddling the wrecking ball, once again seductively and then FULLY NAKED swinging backward and forward..!

Well if we were honest, the track itself we don’t mind at all, as its a good ballad with edge, its just how far is Miley willing to go to try and be unique, and also distance herself from Hannah Montana day?

Wrecking Ball is the second single from the singers forthcoming Bangerz where she has been working with renowned producers and songwriters such as Mike Will, Pharrell, Future, and will.i.am, which is said to “mark a creative evolution for Miley”

Bangerz is due out on the October 4th and available on iTunes pre-order now..!
