New Single Alert - Cher Lloyd feat. T.I. - I Wish

English singer-songwriter, rapper and model Cher Lloyd is back with more Bubblegum/attitude pop this time teaming up with T.I. and she is wishing for a lot…

To be featured on the singer’s forthcoming second album, the new single I Wish is more singing than the attitude rap we had from the first album Sticks + Stones singles like Want You Back and Swagger Jagger, as she sings about wanting different things, to get the attention of a boy, including “a rack”!

T.I. rap may seem a little out of place on the single as does not follow the same upbeat style that Lloyd delivers with her bouncing uplifting vocal, a great hook and a whole lot of sass over snappy funk guitars and a horn section. Speaking of the track she says

She says, “I think a lot of girls struggle with body image or get pissed off because the prettier girl with everything gets the guy. You want all of the things you think that other girl has. That’s not fair, and I think I should challenge that with the song. My favorite line of the song is, 'I wish I woke up with a butt and a rack'. That's exactly how I feel, and I think a lot of girls feel like that. That’s what I really want my fans to connect with. I’ve always said, ‘If you can’t take me as I am, don’t take me at all because I will not change for anyone’.

Cher has just announced her I Wish tour in September across Canada and the US, with her album due out very soon.

Check out the new track below and let us know if you prefer more attitude rap or this new pop direction from Cher..!
