New Album Alert - Dannii Minogue - This is It: The Very Best Of

When you look at Dannii Minogue’s career its been as successful as sister Kylie's, spending over 30 years in the spotlight. Being an International television personality, style icon, author and singer/songwriter of the most infectious pop dance anthems, that she is official named the Queen Of Clubs. Well on the eve of making her return to X-Factor this weeked, Dannii will release a new album of greatest hits…

Dannii first recorded her debut album in 1990 and has continued to release songs over the last two decades. Dannii proudly holds the music title Queen of the Clubs after scoring a record-breaking 12 consecutive Number One dance singles in the UK; more than any other female artist in the world. The This is It: The Very Best Of  is a collection of singles spanning the past 23 years taken from Dannii's five studio albums; Dannii/Love & Kisses (1990), Get Into You (1993), Girl (1997), Neon Nights (2003) and Club Disco (2007).

Talking of Neon Nights, THAT album remains one of SCP favs to date, full of dance anthems that was, in our opinion one of Dannii’s pop career highlights when we lived in the UK, a brilliant album from start to finish. And lets not forget You Won’t Forget About Me, pure pop dance perfection. We digress..!

The 21 track CD and 24 track digital releases will feature a brand new track Cos You’re Beautiful. The track was co-written by one of Dannii's The X Factor UK contestants, Ruth Lorenzo, who also sings backing vocals.

Amongst many other favourites is Don't Wanna Lose This Groove, a mash up remix of Dannii's single Don’t Want to Lose This Feeling and Madonna’s Into The Groove.  It was the first time Madonna has approved the use of one of her tracks.

This collection also includes the previously unreleased duet with her sister Kylie, The Winner Takes It All. This track compliments a special ‘Minogue Moment’ at Judges Houses on this year’s The X Factor Australia. This occasion marks the first time the sisters have graced Australian television together since a Young Talent Time concert in 1987!

Speaking of X-Factor, Dannii is no stranger to mentoring and finding talent after appearing in the UK version alongside Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell in 2009 and helped discover worldwide acts including One Direction, Olly Murs and Rebecca Ferguson.
