New Single Alert - Marina and the Diamonds + Charli XCX - Just Desserts

OMG, what a way to start a Friday, to find out two of our favourite electro pop princesses have teamed up for this new single. That’s right, you read correctly Marina and the Diamonds and Charli XCX have written Just Desserts, produced by Dan Dare and what is even more exciting is the song is also available for free download via SoundCloud...

 The track is dark, synth driven, that sings of revenge which is totally the opposite to “a sweet, romantic duet” as Marina described it. The track is reminiscent of both artist’s album’s Electra Heart and True Romance as you can hear elements both singer’s styles which do compliment each other however a bit more uplift and edge would of knocked this track out the pop ball park.

The duo have team up for two reasons, firstly in preparations to promote their North American tour and secondly to save pop music from itself. OMG it’s music to our pop ears. Wonder if they will join our I Love Pop campaign..?
