SnapCacklePop Music Awards - One To Watch 2013..!

There are so many new pop stars on the horizon and ready to take on the pop charts in 2013. We'll be doing a separate feature on these new popstars soon, however these are stars that made it to the shortlist for the SnapCacklePop Music Awards 2012... and the nominations are...

44th Sunset
Sammy Adams
Azealia Banks
Samantha Jade
Matt Corby

And the winner is...
Matt Corby
He's been writing a lot of material since being runner up in Australian Idol back in 2007 and in 2011 released his fourth EP Into The Flame with help from producer Tim Carr. The EP entered the ARIA charts at No.3 and has since been gaining attention for the new direction that Corby has taken, fusing soul and blues tones into his normal folk style which was evident in his smash hit Brother. Corby was up for three 2012 ARIA Music Awards including two nominations in industry voted categories, Breakthrough Artist and Best Male Artist, however it was his song song Brother that won the publicly voted Song of the Year category. Matt is now working on his new album due out early 2013, which will be highly anticipated my music critics. All eyes on Matt, as he is our One to Watch for 2013..!

Runner Up
Sammy Adams
After meeting Sammy Adam’s earlier in 2012, we realized then that this Boston Boy has something special about him. Genuinely talented and a super nice guy the singer has been making waves with his singles Only One and All Night Longer, taken from his untitled forthcoming debut album. However, recently teaming up with Enrique Iglesias on new single Finally Found You, it has provided a great platform for the rapper to shine in 2013.  Watch this space..!

Honorary Mention...
Samantha Jade
We have to mention this firecracker, as we reckon 2013 is going to be her year. After winning X-Factor Australia and claiming the No.1 spot for her debut single What You've Done To Me, we can only see big things in 2013 for this pop sweetheart. Currently rehearsing for the X-Factor tour and a new album due out in March, get ready for Samantha Jade to take over Australia and then the world..! Miss our interview, then check it out here..!
