The video for the dance track, taken from Guetta's fifth album Nothing But The Beat was  directed Sanji and see's Guetta channel his the inner Frankenstein as he creates a mechanical Minaj who then strolls the streets Elizabethan style outfit being starred at my mannequins, ending up being chased by the naked mannequins and escaping on horseback! Pussycat Dolls to return to the charts..!

Yes the PCD's are set to return to the charts, however with a brand new line up! Gone are the likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberley Wyatt and… eeerm, the others ones, and now replaced with a fresh (and younger) line up.
The new five piece are from similar backgrounds from being either singers, dancers or reality TV show contestants, however do they have what it takes for further Doll Domination? They are Christina Sayers (ex-Girlicious), Paula Van Oppen (former So You Think You Can Dance contestant), Lauren Bennett (former Paradiso Girls), Vanessa Curry (ex Laker girl), and Erica Jenkins (former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader) and an official photo has been released of the girls taken from a forthcoming advert for that will premiere during the American Super Bowl. Seems everyone is launching something at the Superbowl this year..!
Check out the sneak peak below of the new line up – we wonder which one will be the singer?

New Video Alert - Estelle - Thank You

What do Alanis Morrisette, Dido, Jamelia, Boys II Men and Led Zeppelin have in common? They all have hit singles called Thank You! Now British chanteuse Estelle has joined the ranks with her new single and video. Estelle's Thank You is a smooth R&B groove with the power vocals we've come to expect from her. This song is quite different from the more upbeat R&B we've heard from her before such as American Boy & Free but we should see R&B lovers embrace this new smooth groove..!

A recent nominee for the SCP Music Awards for Awesome Debut Album Ed Sheeran has found some massive success with his debut album which has spawned hits like A Team and You Need Me, I Don't Need You. Pete's Pop Picks

Jessi Malay - Role Play Feat. Prophet

This is one sexual song! It exudes sexuality with every beat and the video is just as hot! This 25 year old R&B singer from L.A. has been persuing her career in music for some time now releasing singles with Twista Trey Songz however it's her new single Role Play that's going to get her noticed! This song has a wicked pop/r&b beat and wouldn't be out of place as a lead single from The Pussycat Dolls. With a great video alternating between a warehouse and a desert, with the necessary hunks writhing around her, Jessi Malay's Role Play is Pete's Pop Pick of the week..!

K'Naan - Is Anybody Out There Feat. Nelly Furtado
Born in Somalia before moving to Canada K'Naan is a talented rap/r&b singer who's already made a mark for himself. He had a great single Bang Bang featuring Adam Levine a few years ago along with the 2010 Soccer World Cup theme Waving Flag and even recently featured in the new single by Simple Plan Summer Paradise. For his new single Is Anybody Out There he's enlisted the help of fellow Canadian Nelly Furtado for this very radio friendly pop/r&b track! Have a listen here..!

Duncan - Light Up The Sky
When you do a bit of research it's amazing what you can find. The writer of the new song by Duncan, Light Up The Sky has written some amazing songs - his name is busbee and he wrote  Timbaland & Katy Perry's If We Ever Meet AgainAltiyan Child's Somewhere In The World and Alexandra Burke's Bad Boys to just name a few! Duncan is the artist who was given Light Up The Sky for the movie New Years Eve and this singer from Denver has done the song justice! Much slower than previous singles, we see the softer side of Mike in his new video - a simple song with a simple video Mike Posner is bound to grab a few more fans with this effort! Check out A Perfect Mess below..!

Britney to work with Shakira and Lady Gaga on next album..!

Thats right folks, according to our friend Perez Hilton, it seems that Britney Spears's record company Jive is bringing in some heavy weights to work on her next album. Firstly Pharrell Williams has been signed up by the record company to work on the album, of which he has then said

“I have proposed to Jive Records (BritBrit’s) to bring the studio to Shakira and Lady GaGa and I thought it was a fabulous idea. I want to make it happen”

And then has been signed up to produce it. And we all remember what a corker track Big Fat Bass was on Brit's last album!

And it seems that a duet with Shakira is already in the pipeline!

We'll keep you posted, however this collaboration could be VERY hot!

New Single Alert - Ingrid Michaelson - Fire

One particular SCP staffer is a sucker for strings. Any song featuring the delicate sounds of violins, violas, cellos and more melts his heart - his favourite song, Belinda Carlisle's Summer Rain features strings heavily so when he came across the new single from Ingrid Michaelson called Fire, he had a mini heart attack! The start of the song has a St Elmo's Fire Theme vibe until the vocals kick in. This is one powerful track. Ingrid Michaelson has been on the scene for some time now gaining huge respect and her new album Human Again temporarily knocked of Adele off the top of the US iTunes album charts! You gotta listen to this song..!

An Open Plea To Kylie..!

Our open plea to Kylie Minogue..!

Kylie! Oh Kylie,

We hope that you are listening to thee.

We here at Snap Cackle Pop,

Think everything you do completely rocks.

We are excited beyond belief,

To hear that you'll be the chief

Of all things gay at Mardi Gras

Leading the parade, we'll be waving at you from afar.

But how we wish we could get closer

Grant us our wish, we promise not to be poseurs.

We'd love to have a little lunch

An egg white omelette would be sufficient love. *(no carbs till after Mardi Gras)

And in doing so we'd ask lots of questions,

About twenty five years in pop with an Aussie inflection.

We promise to not mention the perms or Jason,

We want to know more about future Xenomania collaborations.

You see we are true devoted fans,

And know so much about your career expands.

We're even partial to your diffusion lines,

And thought Sweet Darling smelt divine.

So Kylie and even Terry Blamey,

Please, please listen to our plea ...

We here at SCP ask you to grant our wish,

To share a luncheon dish,

With the one and only Ms Minogue.

To ask her 25 questions,

about the secrets to staying in vogue.

In letter form or in person would be neat,

Whichever way suits you is sweet!

At SCP we will patiently await your reply..!

If you've ever thought who would be the male equivalent of Britney Spears we've got the answer for you here - Adam Tyler! Releasing his new single Like A Drug (no not a cover of Kylie) Adam's new video and single is very sexy & extremely steamy! The song really sounds like a Britney song and remarkably the video has a real Britney vibe too! Darkly shot in a warehouse with lots of dark make up and choreographed dance routines in black leather & fishnets this is pop at its most pure. A brilliant pop song from a very sexy new artist - check out Adam Tyler Like A Drug here now..!

Rihanna, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher, Florence & The Machine, Olly Murs, Blur and Adele are all set to perform but you know there will a few other surprises thrown in! SCP will be watching and we have cast our eye into our pop crystal ball to bring you our predications of who we think will win on the night.

The Brit Awards Ceremony are being held on the 21st February 2012.

British Male Solo Artist
Ed Sheeran

Professor Green

Interesting bunch of British male artist this year, Professor Green has taken on the charts however we predict that Ed Sheeran will win.

British Female Solo Artist
Florence & the Machine
Jessie J
Kate Bush
Laura Marling

Though Jessie J  has had a brilliant year, you can not deny that last year belonged to fellow London Brit School alumni Adele and will sweep the board at this years Brits.

British Breakthrough Act
Anna Calvi
Ed Sheeran
Emeli Sandé
Jessie J
The Vaccines

The Vaccines had a great year with their album What Did You Expect from The Vaccines being the biggest selling debut by a band that year and Emeli Sandé
is fastly becoming someone to talk note of, however the breakthrough act will go to Jessie J

British Group
Arctic Monkeys
Chase & Status

Hmm this could be a tight call to be honest, however Coldplay have had a great year with the release of their album Mylo Xyloto and reckon the boys will take the award.

British Single
Adele - Someone Like You
Ed Sheeran - The A Team
Example - Changed The Way You Kissed Me
Jessie J ft Bob - Price Tag
JLS ft Dev - She Makes Me Wanna
Military Wives/Gareth Malone - Wherever You Are
Olly Murs ft Rizzle Kicks - Heart Skips A Beat
One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful
Pixie Lott - All About Tonight
The Wanted - Glad You Came

Good to see loads of boy bands up for Single of the Year and we reckon it will come down to The Wanted, One Direction or Adele. Though we think Someone Like You is hands down brilliant we have a feeling that One Direction will take it due to popularity with the millions of screaming girls!

MasterCard British Album of the Year
Adele - 21
Coldplay - Mylo Xyloto
Ed Sheeran - +
Florence & The Machine - Ceremonials
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake

No need to discuss this one – Adele

International Male Solo Artist
Aloe Blacc
Bon Iver
Bruno Mars
David Guetta
Ryan Adams

Interesting choices for International Male Solo Artist and its been a great year for David Guetta ( though he is more a DJ/producer not a singer but don’t get us started on that debate again) however think Bruno Mars might take it.

International Female Solo Artist
Lady Gaga

It would be lovely to give Beyoncé the award as her album 4  was underrated however Lady Gaga will take it.

International Group
Fleet Foxes
Foo Fighters
Jay Z/ Kanye West
Lady Antebellum
Maroon 5

Maroon 5 just for the track Moves Like Jagger

International Breakthrough Act
Aloe Blacc
Bon Iver
Foster The People
Lana Del Rey
Nicki Minaj

Bit early for Lana Del Rey to start winning prizes, Foster The People album is brilliant, however it will be our favourite alter ego Nicki Minaj

Outstanding Contribution to Music Winner is Blur

And the Critics Choice has been awarded to Emeli Sandé

Who do you think will win?
Remember to tune in on February 21st. Here's our favourite performance from last year.

Friday Song - Kylie Minogue!

The SCP Office is a very quite place today, as we all nurse our Australia day hangovers with one staff member calling in work *ahem* sick today!
Yeah right!
It was a monster effort, but we had reason to celebrate, after Kylie Minogue announced she would be returning to Sydney to appear at this years Sydney's Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras!
On top of that announcement, as you know, Kylie is releasing acoustic versions of her songs to celebrate her 25th anniversary in music. Earlier this week Ms.Minogue unveiled the first K25 track Finer Feelings  after appealing for 25,000 fans to Tweet to "unlock" the video on her website. So in honour of the Princess of Pops we dedicate our Friday Song to you!

New Single Alert - Yinon Yahel - So Far Away Feat. Maya Simanov

Although it's not technically in Europe, Israel is included in the Eurovision song contest and they normally pump out a good number or too. Put this guy in charge and they could win!! Yinon Yahel is an Israeli DJ who has been involved in productions for Ashanti, Cassie & P. Diddy and his new single is So Far Away. He's had plenty of single releases before but So Far Away could be one to put him on the map! He works a lot with fellow Israeli Maya Simanov and her vocals work perfectly on this great track! Check out So Far Away here now..!

New Video Alert - Takida - You Learn

When a rock band shows its delicate side magic can happen. With a real orchestral sound featuring an amazing use of strings, You Learn is the new single from rock band Takida from Sweden. They've extracted an amazing amount of musicality from this song and the vocals of lead singer Robert Petterson work perfectly with the sound they've created. You can tell that this is a band that likes their hard rocking tracks and the restraint of the lead singer still shows the power behind it. The video is beautifully simple as well. Listen.. we think these guys pull off a rock ballad better than Creed..!

The track is a nice synth pop tune with the video, directed by JP Poliquin is slightly abstract yet stylish and plays around with bright lights, painted dancers a man in a very large scarf!

New Video Alert - RJ - You Know It Ain't Love Feat. Pitbull

Sometimes a song can really surprise you. Watching You Know It Ain't Love you'd swear you're watching a talented American singer, in the likes of Chris Brown. Especially as the song features im-in-absolutely-everything rapper Pitbull. However upon further investigation, RJ hails from Belgium! This song could make its home on any pop or R&B radio station in the world - it's starts off slowly with RJ's smooth vocals then pumps up into a great R&B/Dance track! Blur set to release new album!

Set to perform at the UK Brit Awards in February after receiving outstanding contribution to music award, where the band will perform some of their greatest hits, it seems that band are back in the studio with super producer William Orbit working on new material.

The band who’s hits include Parklife and Girls & Boys have occasional had recording sessions since they reformed in 2010 for live shows, however until now Orbit is onboard it is heavily rumoured the band will use the Brit Awards as a spring board back into the charts and the new track will feature on a new album.

Whether true or not, it would be good to see the boys back, a band that had us all  jumping up and down in the pub back in the 1990’s, with our arms round a group of strangers singing “Aaaaaaallllllllllll the people, so many people, they go hand in hand, hand in hand through their parklife”

Check them out! And congrats boys on your Brit Award!
