SnapCacklePop Music Awards - One To Watch in 2012 Nominations

2012 looks like another big year with pop with Kylie, No Doubt and Madonna all set to return to the charts. However there are some new popstars who we reckon will be One's To Watch in 2012! So here are the nominees....

US singer Dev burst onto the scene back in  2010 with Bass Down Low with her electro style and "sing-talk" vocal style, the singer calls it "pop music with rap roots". She then followed up with single In The Dark taken from her debut album The Night The Sun Came Up. Defo one to watch in 2012!

Jessie & The Toy Boys
More electro-pop from blonde bombshell Jessica Malakouti, otherwise known as Jessie and the Toy Boys. With smashing pop offerings like We Own The Night, Push It and recent single Let's Get Naughty, recently supporting Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour, this sexy lady will be releasing her first album in 2012 and will have the pop world alight!

Marvin Priest

Combining R&B, pop and reggae fusion Marvin Priest first single Own The Club which made double platinum in Oz back in February 2011. Followed with Take Me Away featuring Wynter Gordon and Feel The Love taken from his debut album Beats & Blips. The UK singer will touring in Australia in 2012 and definitely worth checking out.

Reece Mastin
Winning the third season of Australian X-Factor would always help young Reece Mastin to chart success however the singer already has a huge fan base and his official debut single Good Night and his debut album full of the tracks that her performed on the show made top 10 in the first week of release, both achieving platinum status. And 2012 looks even bigger with the 17 year old revealing that he has already begun working on his second studio album of his own song!

Gaining SCP attention with part early 90s rave, part Siouxsie Sioux swagger single Smash It, Zowie gives us a bubbling mix of vintage synth-pop and shimmering electro chants. After touring Strange Talk and currently working on her debut album will be released early next year.
