SnapCacklePop Music Awards - OMG! That Brilliant New Artist Award Nominations

Continuing with our SnapCacklePop Music Awards categories, next up are the artists that have burst onto the pop world and AMAZED us! We welcome new pop from any where in the world, however these nominees have really made us take note this year!

For the OMG! That Brilliant New Artist Award, the nominee's are...
(Made sure you vote in the comments)

Wynter Gordon
First providing guest vocals to tracks for the Freemasons and Flo-Rida, Wynter Gordon then smashing into the pop charts as a solo artist with her worldwide smash debut track Dirty Talk and set the singer on the international stage! She released her debut album, With the Music I Die, which contained further dance tracks Till Death and Buy My Love.

Vanbot
We all know Sweden produces some of the best pop acts we have ever known! Think ABBA and Robyn! And they haven't disappointed this year by giving us Vanbot! OMG! She had us at hello!
Releasing her self titled album, she gives us a blend of dance/electro pop which reminds us of the fabulous fellow Swede Robyn, meets Pet Shop Boys, Cyndi Lauper and throw in a bit of 80’s Madonna for good measure. If you haven't check out her album, please do! For us! You won't be disappointed. Definitely deserves to be in the running for OMG! That Brilliant New Artist Award.

The Wanted
Uk Boyband sensation The Wanted have melted the UK charts and a number of teenage girls hearts this year, breaking into the pop world back in 2010 the boys returning to the charts this year with their track Gold Forever and the catchy Glad You Came. We understand they may not be 2011 "new" however these boys have certainly made an impact this year with follow up hits Lightning and WarZone.

Nicola Roberts
When Girls Aloud said they were taking a "break" to work on solo projects, most the girls rushed out to release solo material, with little success apart from maybe Cheryl Cole. No-one could predict the pure fabulousness of what Nicola Roberts would bring to the pop world. Taking her time to find her "new direction" the singer gave us a really smart, confident, slightly eccentric and very British-sounding pop record in Cinderella's Eye's! With her debut track Beat Of My Drum still being played heavily on the SCP stereo, Ms Roberts is a strong contender in this years awards!

Jessie J
This category could not be complete without Jessie J. With her edgy style, frank lyrics and open and honest persona this girl has certainly gone far as we predicted back in April, releasing worldwide hits such a Price Tag, Nobody's Perfect and Who's Laughing Now. Her debut album Who You Are has since shift 600,000 going double platinum! Not bad for a debut album. We can only expect more greatness from Miss J in 2012!
