The new track Yo-Yo produced by Tikovoi shes the Girls Aloud singer give us pop electro quirk with lyrics that talk of being messed around by her love! Speaking of the video "This is the only video that I've shot in London and could actually
be my favourite... I'm really proud of it."
Check out the new video below!

New Video Alert... sort of.... Andy Grammer – Fine By Me

Want to appear in Andy Grammer’s new video? Read on....

Starting out busking on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, super hunky Andy Grammer first came to the world’s attention with his debut single Keep Your Head Up which we featured on SCP back in April. This video won MTV’s most innovative award in 2011 by being interactive – this amazing video changed depending what options you wanted while you watch! Keep Your Head Up was also a great single, fun funky and fresh we just loved it – and now he’s back for his follow up.

Andy Grammer hasn’t actually released his video for his new single Fine By Me yet, however he’s put out a call to the world to send in your very own version of Fine By Me, lip synced to the track. We think he’s got something big planned for the video release of the song featuring the video received from around the world, but in the mean time he’s released a lip synced version with internet sensation Keenan Cahill whose individual looks brightened up a lip synced version of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream. Check out Andy and Keenan below having fun with his new single – and maybe have a think about what you can do lip syncing to this great new song, Fine By Me!

New Video Alert – Foster The People – Call It What You Want

Much like Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours which is the longest charting song in Billboard history being in the Top 100 for 76 weeks, Foster The People’s last single Pumped Up Kicks is still gracing worldwide charts after almost a year! This indie pop band from L.A. has found incredible success with their debut single and are looking to repeat the success with their new song Call It What You Want. The video that accompanies the single is very interesting and keeps you watching. Strange things happen that you just try to work out – but don’t bother! Lots of fun from a band to watch, check out Call It What You Want below!

New Video Alert – The Naked and Famous – No Way

Some of the most incredible and memorable advertising we’ve seen in worldwide campaign over the past 5 years have made use of the amazing effects of slow motion camera work. The Sony ad for the Bravia TV featuring millions of small colourful balls bouncing down San Franciscan streets broke new ground and raised the bar for cinematography within the advertising industry. Equally impressive was the use of the beautiful Jose Gonzalez song Heartbeats which was a masterstroke of song selection.
Even more impressive slo-mo advertising campaign was the campaign for Schweppes where we saw footage of water balloons bursting with song To Build A Home by Cinematic Orchestra.

You may ask, What does all this have to do with the new The Naked And Famous song we hear you say? Well this band has used slo-mo in all forms for their video for their new single No Way. Shattering panes of glass, exploding flowers, colliding vases and much more are featured in this video you cannot take your eyes off. The song feels like it’s built for the advertising industry too with a real Heartbeats vibe to it before introducing a heavier beat. It really is a remarkable video from a band becoming well known for their dedication to their art and building a strong fan base around the world. Check out the amazing video for No Way below!

New Single Alert – Hot Chelle Rae – Why Don’t You Love Me Feat. Demi Lovato

We have to admit, when Hot Chelle Rae first hit the scene with their smash hit song Tonight Tonight we felt there was an element of them being a one hit wonder band. Then their follow up single I Like It Like That started to change that view but it’s their new single Why Don’t You Love Me that’s officially changed our minds! Featuring Disney darling Demi Lovato, this talented band from the States have gone for more a power ballad for their third single that’s out to coincide with the release of their debut album Whatever due out on November 29. Another great single from a band on a roll, check out Why Don’t You Love Me below!

New Video Alert - Vanbot - Make Me, Break Me

One of our favourite Swedish singers, Vanbot has finally debuted her latest video for the awesome her track Make Me, Break Me. Taken from her self titled album, the track is pure pop delight, with its electro pop beats and synths with a video directed by Jacob Mohlin showing the singer hanging out at sunset on a golf course! However it doesn't matter where she is, you can no deny she makes perfect pop songs!
Shaping up to be on the shortlist for SnapCacklePop's Album Of The Year, if you haven't got the album yet, make sure you head to iTunes now!
Check out the video below!

Pete's Pop Picks

Olly Murs - Dance With Me Tonight
Since being the runner-up on the sixth season of the UK’s X-Factor Olly  Murs has done very well for himself with Please Don’t Let Me Go and My Heart Skips A Beat with Rizzle Kicks gracing the top of the charts all around the world. Now he’s releases his most pop-tastic song yet, Dance With Me Tonight which I have had on repeat many times over the past week! Groovy, funky, soulful and, well, happy – this song just makes you want to groove and smile – something that only a great pop song can do. One of my favourite songs for 2011 and Pete’s Pop Pick of the week, you MUST get Olly Murs new song Dance With Me Tonight now!

Kreesha Turner – Stay With You

Canadian R&B starlet Kreesha Turner owes her remarkable looks to her Canadian Father and Jamaican Mother and her unique voice to Ella FitzgeraldBillie Holiday & Peggy Lee who she grew up listening to. After high school she developed her musical abilities writing, recording and performing her own songs but it was winning a radio talent show that led to the start of her recording career. Releasing her second album Tropic Electric this month the second single is Stay With You and it really shows off her R&B Pop roots. Soulful & delicate check it out below!

Jason DeRulo – Fight For You
In the pantheon of popular 80’s hits Africa by Toto would be near the top. The song is well known and loved around the world and now it’s been touched by the hands of pop star Jason DeRulo. Starting off obviously with the music and lyrics from AfricaJason makes the song his own through the verses, with his own unique style we all know and love. Using the classic pop remake formula he’s perfected over the years Fight For You is destined for the top of the charts around the world!

New Single Alert – Kid Rock – Care Feat. Martina McBride & T.I.

Kid Rock’s first single from his last album was All Summer Long and it was one of the biggest hits of the year. He’s out to repeat that effort with his new single Care and this time with the help of two decidedly different artists – country singer Martina McBride and rapper T.I.. Country music is the strongest influence in this song but it is still very pop and radio friendly. It’s surprising to hear that Kid Rock actually has some pretty good vocals in this song and T.I.’s rap sort of comes out of nowhere! Enjoyable and fun, we predict Kid Rock will replicate the success of All Summer Long with his new single Care.

New Video Alert - Sean Paul – She Doesn’t Mind

This will be the third time we feature Sean Paul’s latest single, first as a Pete’s Pop Pick, then a Behind The Video teaser of the film clip, and now, the clip itself! Everything promised in the teaser is delivered – sexy security guards, frisking equally sexy ladies - it seems like Sean Paul’s world consists of hot models everywhere – and the girl on girl action will get many men hot under the collar! Check out She Doesn’t Mind below!

If you don’t know who Kate Bush is, please consult your pop history books immediately! has released a brand new album preview with this gorgeous 10 minute video featuring backlit puppet imagery. Her brand new tenth studio album 50 Words For Snow is out now in Australia.
The new album comprises all new material and was recorded during the same period that Kate worked on her album Director’s Cut, which was released earlier this year. 50 Words For Snow features seven brand new tracks set against a background of falling snow.

The album is available on iTunes now, however check out the10 minute video below

New Single Alert - Chiddy Bang - Ray Charles

Check out the first official single by Chiddy Bang to be taken from the highly anticipated upcoming debut album, Breakfast. Chiddy Bang stormed the charts last year with their hit single Opposite of Adults. The track features a piano riff sounding like Ray Charles and some dusty background singers.
Check out the track below

New Video Teaser – Electric Giant Beatz – On The Run Feat. Michelle Williams

Forever in the shadow of her Destiny’s Child sisters Beyonce & Kelly Rowland the forgotten sister Michelle Williams is about to launch herself BIG TIME! This is just a teaser of On The Run which is sure to be a killer dance track where Michelle’s vocals are unleashed full range. What’s interesting is that with this single Michelle is not competing with the more R&B Beyonce, but with the dance stalwart Rowland. Teaming up with German dance act EGB or Electric Giant Beatz and filmed in Ibiza we’re sure this single and video will be an absolute SMASH! We’ll let you know as soon as the video for On The Run is released!

New Single Alert – Mariah Carey & John Legend – When Christmas Comes

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a Mariah Carey Christmas song and in 2011 she’s delivered again! This time with the help of very talented R&B singer John Legend she’s delivered more a R&B single than the All I Want For Christmas Is You type pop classic. Destined to sell like hotcakes we can picture the video, filmed around the piano, turkey and decorations in the background already! Check out Mariah & John’s new single When Christmas Comes below!

Introducing - Delilah

Here is something different for you! Let us introduce you to Delilah. This pretty lady is the latest babe to come out of the UK grime scene. She’s worked with the likes of Chase & Status and you might remember her as the featured vocalist on their big single Time. Refresh your memory by checking out the below vid!
She’s also worked with a bunch of other artists including Magnetic Man and Skream plus recently a whole stack of live dates with Maverick and of course Chase & Status.

Stepping out on her own this time, her latest single is Go which displays her tremendous talent. Producer by East London duo Ballistiq Beats, the track features Delilah reworking Chaka Khan’s Ain’t Nobody to glorious effect.

Taken from her new EP of the same name, we think this lady will become bigger in 2012. Go EP is available on iTunes now

New Video Alert – Anjulie – Stand Behind The Music

One of the singles that most impressed us at the SCP office this year was the debut offering from AnjulieBrand New Bitch. It had a level of attitude to it that set this Canadian pop star apart from her counterparts and we’re still loving it months later. Now she’s back with an all new single with meaning, Stand Behind The Music. Lyrically Anjulie shows passion in what she’s singing which is reflected in her video showing real people power, appropriate in today’s time with revolution around the world. Check out the latest offering from Anjulie below.

New Video Alert – Sara Bareilles – Gonna Get Over You Feat. Ryan Tedder

Michael Buble last filmed a video in a supermarket in Just Haven’t Met You Yet and now it’s Sara Bareille’s turn! The super talented singer/songwriter who brought us the smash hit single Lovesong in 2007 is well known for her instrument of choice, the piano, which is heavily featured in her new single Gonna Get Over You. The video is one of the most fun we’ve seen in ages and well worth watching till the end when there’s a hilarious twist! The song has been re-recorded with One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, who’s version does not appear in the video. The song is perky and poppy and we just love it! Check out the video below, and the Ryan Tedder version below that.

Don’t forget to watch the video to the end – it’s worth it!

Featuring Ryan Tedder

Reece Mastin takes on mentor Guy Sebastian for No.1 spot!

Not since Luke Skywalker took on Obi-Wan Kenobi has there been such a face off! Following on from last night’s grand final of The X Factor last night, Reece Mastin’s debut single, Good Night has stormed in to the #1 position on iTunes, knocking off his mentor, Guy Sebastian’s  new single, Don’t Worry Be Happy which had shot to #1 after his performance on the show.

Reece’s mentor, Guy Sebastian, was ecstatic to see one of his contestants take out the series, saying, “Reece is a superstar. He has absolutely got what it takes to be an international star. He’s just amazing!”

SnapCacklePop Interview - Stan Walker

We caught up with the Australian Idol winner to talk about his new album, working with his mum, his acting debut and his huge crush on Beyonce
Check out below!

Hey Stan

Welcome to SnapCacklePop
Thanks man

Firstly Congrats on your V Channel nomination for Oz Artist of The Year, that’s quite an achievement, how you feeling about it?
Um, I don’t know, it's cool but I don’t really think about it too much, hey!

So you are not really into the awards then?
As long as the fans still love what I do, they enjoy my music and it helps people, that’s what I am about. An award is just a bonus.

It been quite a journey over the last 2 year since Australian Idol, have the years just flown by? Or???
Its been quite hectic, hey and looks like 2012 is getting more busy. In a good way, its exciting with my album and the changes and evolution of music and as me as an artist. Its very exciting!

Talking about evolution as an artist, you have your third studio album Let The Music Play out today. It’s a different direction this album with more a pop/dance vibe, was that intentional? Is that what you are listening to at the minute?
Definitely intentional. The way I wanted this album, was to showcase and show who I am in this moment in time. Like, as a young man, 21 years old… I’m loud, proud, crazy and um, not just showing one side to me. I think when people say its gotta be pop, rock, soul or whatever, I think music is music , regardless of genre and I think that’s why I put so much different style and culture inside my music. With this album especially, its all based around pop, but a lot of its dance, with a hint of old school, gospel, R&B… so I definitely like to keep it like a journey!

Did you know Let The Music Play was an album and a first a hit for Shannon back in 1983?
For who?

For Shannon? It was a huge dance hit back in the 80’s that was also sampled on Jordan Sparkes recent track S.O.S (Let The Music Play)
No way, I didn’t even know! I’ll check it out!

To be fair you wasn’t actually born when the original single was released in Jan 1983.
A track on the album has a very special guest vocalist, someone very close to you? Can you tell us who that is?
Yeah, my mumma.

How did a song come about with your mum? and how was it working with her?
Its been an idea of mine for the last year and a half, of doing a song with my mum. Someone from my family and that shows my fans a bit more of who I am and the things that matter to me. And I thought, you know… I loved to do a song with my mum and I just went ahead and went for it. And we went ahead with the album and did a cover of Eva Cassidy, one of my favorite tracks as a family.

It’s a beautiful track.
Its one our favorite tracks of the family, so we love it.

Will that be released as a single, will we be getting mum out on stage?
You never know! [laughs] You never know! I don’t know what the future holds, but we definitely have goals and plans and a vision of what’s happening, but you never know!
So your latest single Galaxy is with Jessica Mauboy, we love the track at SCP, how did that collaboration come about?
We’ve always wanted to do a song together, its just been about the right song. We’ve always been friends, its more like brother and sister and we work together all the time. When this song came about, like we were just, both of us, we loved it from the get go and decided to put it down and record it. And just turned out really awesome!

So talking of the Galaxy, tell us about it?
Its about explaining love and your love for someone and how great your love is!
So you are making your film debut in A Gift To Zion and why the cross over into acting?
Yeah it’s a bit weird. It’s a film in New Zealand which I start in March, just after me and Jess finish touring. I’ll be heading straight over there. Its gonna be interesting as I’m not an actor, so um, I’m excited for the challenge but doesn’t mean I’m gonna be good at it [laughs]

So starts next March, when should we expect to see that in the cinema?
Probably in 2013

You said the script was “basically who you was six years ago” what do you mean by that?
Probably the personality and person I was back then…

So you will channelling some of you own personal experiences into that character?
The best I can, using it if it will work.

Are you nervous about it?
I am nervous yes.

You are going to get any acting lessons?
That’s what I have been doing lately, getting acting lessons here and there! That’s important for me. I don’t want to do in there not knowing anything.

So you mention you are touring next year with Jess, what can we expect from the tour? Are you excited about that? And what should we expect?
We’re both excited hey! Like, this is where we get to showcase us to our full potential, you know. Hopefully we won’t get sick and give the fans the full potential. With a great band, dancers and the production of the show. We pride ourselves on our live performances and that’s what we are both excited about.

We checked you out on the X-Factor the other week, you were awesome!
Oh really [Laughs] Thanks very much.

How was it returning to that kind of show? With judges, your peers and live audience?
I didn’t think of it like that. Its was good and great to be on stage again. Its quite natural for me now.

Any advice to the winner of this year’s show? As you have been in their shoes before?
Its hard work man. What they have been through is nothing compare to the real music industry. That’s the  honeymoon period, like a  marriage. Like that’s the honeymoon and after that, the real relationship is about to begin and that’s what you have to learn about. Its hard work man!

Good advice.
Its up to you whether you fall or fly.
We hear you are singing at Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight, how did you get involved in that?
Well I was approached a while ago, um and I just said I’d love to do it. Its an awesome event and finding out they want me to be their ambassador, I’m just stoked hey, its just an awesome opportunity to represent something bigger than myself. It’s not just about me its about Vision Australia.

So will you be home for Christmas? Are you having some time off?
Nah, I’ve only just got 4 days off and straight back into tour rehearsals and the tour. Couple of days with the family then back into work.

What’s the greatest and worst Christmas present you have ever received?
Greatest was a bike

No, just a normal big. Back then it was just my life!

And the worst?
Sunscreen. My mum used to get us all these small things and she brought us sun screen!

So just to wrap up, we have some SnapCacklePop Big 5 questions. Just silly questions, just answer what ever comes into your head.

Who do you have a secret pop crush on?
[Instantly] Beyonce. There is no secret, she is my wife.

She’s your wife, does Jay-Z know about this?
Yes! No, but would love to meet her!

What came first? The chicken or the egg?
The Chicken

Who would you like to duet with?

Do you have a party trick?  Can you show us?
Nah, I’m just a clown. I just tell dumb jokes.

If you could have a super power what power would you have?
Probably fly! I’d love to skip taxi’s and like fly overseas

Would you have a cape?
Hell no, just a jacket

Depends on how fast I can fly!

Well Stan, its been a pleasure to meet you today. Good luck with your new album Let The Music Play and SCP will see you on tour next year!
Thanks man.
