Introducing - Marc Broussard

When a child is surrounded by music from birth it’s only natural that they would also fall into the music scene. And when you’re born in the Louisiana, being influenced by Soul music is a given. Best described as ‘Bayou Soul’, Marc Broussard’s style is a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock and of course pop. Want to hear what Bayou Soul sounds like? Listen to one of Marc’s earlier singles, Home, below..

Home is an amazing mix of powerful vocals and a haunting beat in a funky package and it was one of the singles that introduced Marc to the world, especially after SCP favourite Kelly Clarkson sang it as part of her setlist on American Idol. Being the son of Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist  and former member of The Boogie Kings, Ted Broussard, Marc has been immersed in southern music all his life. Earlier being part of a Christian band Y, Marc released his debut solo album of covers SOS in 2007. Releasing 5 albums to-date, Marc has been busy writing and touring across  the USA and appearing on Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien & Larry King amongst others.
Marc Broussard’s new album is self titled, again is an amazing mix of soul & pop and is another Southern masterpiece. Featuring his new single Cruel, Marc is currently earning rave reviews touring the States. Listen to Cruel below and make Marc Broussard a part of your playlist. His albums are all available on iTunes now.
