New Album Alert - Beverley Knight - Soul UK

Much like the first time you hear artists like Beyonce, Anastacia, Jennifer Hudson or Jessica Mauboy, there are some artists you just know have ‘it’ from the first few lines you hear them sing. Beverley Knight is one of them. This 38 year old Pop/R&B singer has been recording in the UK since 1994 signing her first record deal and releasing her debut album in 1995 which was crowned the ‘best British soul album ever’ by Echoes Magazine, and Beverley Knight went on to win Best R&B Artist in the Black Music Awards in 1996.

Beverley Knight – Shoulda Coulda Woulda
In 2001, Shoulda Woulda Coulda was her most successful single to-date, peaking at number 10 on the UK charts - with a groovy R&B beat and smooth vocals, and a very cool video to match. The album from which it came, Who I Am, was recorded in Nashville receiving critical acclaim and won her two BRIT nominations. Beverley has had continued success in the UK appearing on reality show Just The Two Of Us in 2006, and supporting Take That in their reunion show in the same year.

Beverley Knight has now released a new album of British Soul covers – Soul UK. The lead single, Cuddly Toy is a cover of a Roachford single, and Beverley has taken it to the next level – funky & fresh with an awesome beat, this 38 year old Brit is due for more world-wide acclaim for the talent she is!
