And The Eurovision Song Contest Winner Is...

After a nail biting build up in front of a fully packed Düsseldorf Arena and millions of TV viewers all over Europe, it was finally Ell/Nikki from Azerbaijan who received the highest number of points managing to gather 221 points altogether - followed by Raphael Gualazzi from Italy with 189 points and Sweden's Eric Saade who collected 185 points.

Azerbaijan won the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest 2011, beating the likes of Blue, Jedward (yes they were the entry for Ireland) and Dana International ( well the song was awful!) We had to look up exactly where Azerbaijan was a geography was not our strong point at school. Now we know!
After watching Eurovision for many years, we are still confused on how these contest get decided... is it about the pop song, it it political, is it to boost tourism? We must admit the song is not the best we have ever heard and wonder who is on the voting panels across europe?
Here is the winning track!

We still think Blue should of scored way higher than they did and we hope this see's Blue returned to the pop charts, especially when they do promotional work like this....ITS BLUE NAKED!!

Congrats Blue, as Duncan James Tweeted "Hope we did you proud, we had a blast and have no regrets, 100 points is very respectable :)"
